Shamsa Hasher (b. Dubai) is an Emirati contemporary artist working across painting, drawing and mixed media.

 

Her practice explores memory, belonging, and the transformation of the Gulf tracing what remains of a place as it changes and what lies beneath its surface.

 

She holds an MA from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA from the American University of Sharjah.

She lives and works in Dubai.
